Wider economic impacts of accessibility: a literature survey

Abstract: This paper starts out with by discussing the definitions
of Wider Economic Impacts/Benefits and regional development. Each area
where WEIs could be present is then treated: economic growth (production
and cost function studies), labour market (agglomeration, labour supply),
commodity market and housing market. A theoretical background is given, the
empirics are summarized and the relation to CBA is discussed.
